About Calc Classroom Tips

Calc Classroom Tips is an independent maths study resource for students, teachers and parents working with the TI-84 Plus and TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculators. Everything on the site is written for someone standing at a calculator trying to get a homework question finished — not for an engineer reading a reference manual.

What this site covers

How the content is written and checked

Each guide is produced by a human author working from the manufacturer's documentation and, where relevant, the official exam board publications. Facts that affect an exam result — such as the calculator policy for the SAT or the AP exams — are checked against the current official source and linked on the page so you can verify them yourself.

Screen figures on this site are drawn rather than photographed. That is deliberate: a hand- built figure can show the exact state of the display after a specific sequence of keystrokes, which a generic stock photo cannot. If a screen figure and your own calculator disagree, trust the calculator and let us know.

Corrections

Calculator models change slowly, but exam rules are revised from time to time. If you find something on this site that is out of date or simply wrong, the fastest route is to email testat@qq.com. We would rather fix a mistake than leave it in front of a student.
